Hospital: I’m alive

I’m taking this time while I have some strength and lucidity to let all my supporters know that I am ok.

I have barely been concious over the past few days and that has had alot of people concerned. Your love, prayers, messages and positive vibrations have not gone unnoticed. This is why I am letting you know that I’m okay. I realised today how difficult it is when I sit and worry about loved ones who are ill. Waiting for updates. It’s a crappy feeling.

I have no diagnosis for you. There are alot of things wrong and alot of investigations are being done. Yes I am ill. I don’t remember being this ill. It’s been a week in hospital. Normally I would be itching to get out. Not this time. I would rather be here. It’s safer.

I have many stories to tell. Oh boy do I. I promise to tell you all about my the ups and downs and what has gone down medically.

Hey I survived next to a woman who uses the toilet with the lid up and who makes dinosaur noises when she yawns! A whole damn week. So happy to not be concious for most of that or I might have been on the news.

For now, this is me saying “I’ll be back”. I’ve had 8 IV lines so far so my swollen hands are struggling with this typing thing.

Please know I’d love to respond to all your messages but right now I am just incredibly weak and heavily medicated. Thank you for the love I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

I really do hope you get diagnosed soon and that you get better ASAP.

    1. Thanks dude. This episode came at the right time. A real kick in the ass to remind me of what havoc lupus can cause with your body. How quickly you can be taken down. If I call myself a lupus warrior then I must fight. I will fight. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Irfaan is a friggin angel. I’m incredibly blessed. Especially since its just us up here

    2. Share to help spread awareness. So many people die without even being diagnosed. Like the lady sharing the room said, she’s heard about lupus but she never knew what it actually was. My cousin died from this and I didn’t know what this was.
