Yes, I know I have a flare for the dramatics. It’s a thing I do. Shakespeare said “all the world’s a stage” right? Right. Anyway, the problem for me is that my Rheumatologist upped my immunosuppressents 2 weeks ago. I have been on lockdown since then. Yes, TWO WEEKS ALREADY and now I’m faced with 21 days. Don’t get me wrong I totally believe in having the lockdown. It’s just that shit just got real.
As I see the numbers rise dramatically… Yesterday we were at 702 and I thought that was insane. Right now we find ourselves at 900+ cases in South Africa with 409 of those in my province! It’s horrifying! Yet we have people who try to absocond from hospitals who are carrying the disease. Really? I know of too many people unnecessarily, possibly exposed because of selfishness. In times like these the veils of humanity are lifted. We see ourselves for who we are.
So many things run through my head. Yeah 2 weeks on lockdown will give you alot of time to ponder… The problems with the homeless.. The problems with the poor. I will address these individually in future posts. I will be blogging regularly. Touching base with everyone. I have readers from all corners of the Earth and one thing we are united in now is facing this virus. Wherever you are. We are the world. Oh God. That sounds really cheesy but you get what I mean?
The lockdown looms but I will be back. Just a message to say we are in this together. I will be posting regularly.. or I might end up opening a Tik Tok account!! We can’t ramp up my level of crazy. Please warn me against this! I’m 2 weeks in and I’m facing another 21 days! Let’s do this right. Getting it wrong has dire consequences. One of which is being locked down even longer. Please for the love of God no!!!
I bet alot of you are staying up till 12! 😂😂😂 Ringing in the lockdown? Nothing wrong with that. This is a serious situation but in dark times like this I make sure to take time to laugh. It’s therapeutic. A constant state of anxiety and stress is destructive in so many ways. I promise to bring some laughs. Come visit me tomorrow! Let’s keep each other uplifted during this time. I will offer services to those who are contemplating opening TIK TOK account! 😂😷
